Francis Marion University / McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week

Francis Marion University junior men's basketball guard Tionne Rollins has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 24-30, 2022.

The Tallahassee, Fla., native averaged 26.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists,and 1.0 steal per game last week in two outings.  He scored a career-high 26 points in both contests, a narrow loss to nationally ranked UNC Pembroke and a victory over Erskine College.  He connected on 51.4 percent of his shots from the floor, including 11-of-26 from behind the three-point arc.  He also grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds in the win over Erskine to post his first career double-double.

Francis Marion will host Southern Wesleyan University on Monday (Jan. 31) at 4 p.m. before taking to the road for a pair of games: Friday (Feb. 4) at 7:30 p.m. against Lees-McRae College and Saturday (Feb. 5) at 4:30 p.m. against King University (Tenn.).
