Francis Marion University / McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week

Francis Marion University baseball senior third-baseman Todd Mattox has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 22-28.

Mattox, a Winnsboro, S.C., native, batted .591 (13-for-22) with six runs scored, two doubles, a homer, and eight runs batted in, in four games last week. He registered a .591 on-base percentage and slugged .818. The senior was perfect, recording no errors in 14 fielding chances at the hot corner. He had multiple hits in all four games, including a five-hit three-RBI outing vs Young Harris on Feb. 27 (2nd game of DH). Mattox has logged a hit in six straight games and reached base safely in all seven games this season (15 consecutive games dating back to last season).

He currently ranks fifth in the Peach Belt Conference in Hitting.
