Francis Marion University Athletics

Sophomore point guard Kiara Croskey of the Francis Marion University women’s basketball team has been named the McDonald’s Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Dec. 1-7.

The Sumter, S.C., native registered team-highs of 23 points and seven rebounds in a come-from-behind 80-69 win over Anderson University in FMU's only action last week.  The victory pushed the Patriots' winning streak to five games.  She connected on 8-of-13 field goal attempts and was 6-of-7 at the foul line, while also handing out four assists and making two steals with no turnovers in 36 minutes of action. 

Francis Marion (5-1) will play its next four games on the road, beginning with a Dec. 9 match-up at USC Aiken with a tip-off time of noon.
