Sophomore point guard Kiara Croskey of the Francis Marion University women’s basketball team has been named the McDonald’s Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Nov. 17-23.

A native of Sumter, S.C., Croskey averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 4.5 steals per game in two wins last week.  She connected on 48.3 percent of her field goal attempts and was 10-of-11 at the foul line, while averaging 34.3 minutes per contest in the two games.

She began her week with 22 points, a career-high 13 rebounds, six assists, and five steals in a 68-63 win over Lenoir-Rhyne University and then registered 17 points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals in a 74-67conference victory over Shorter University.

Francis Marion (3-1, 1-0) will host the University of Mount Olive on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
