Junior right-handed pitcher Robbie Jordan of the Francis Marion University baseball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of March 10-16, 2025.

The Florence native pitched a complete-game during FMU's 5-1 win on the road at Belmont Abbey College on Saturday (March 15).  He tossed seven innings and allowed eight hits with four strikeouts and one walk on 99 pitches.  He allowed a lead-off home run in the bottom of the first inning and then blanked the Crusaders the rest of the way.  Coming back from an injury that kept him out all of the 2024 season, this was his first complete game since 2022.

Francis Marion, now 19-7, will host Lander University on Tuesday (March 18) at 6 p.m.   The Patriots will return to Conference Carolinas play this weekend, hosting Southern Wesleyan University for a single game on Friday at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m.
