Senior left-handed pitcher Rijnaldo Euson of the Francis Marion University baseball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Feb. 24-March 2, 2025.

The Haines City, Fla., native tossed a complete-game 5-3 win at 15th-ranked Young Harris College on March 1.  He allowed three runs in the bottom of the first inning and then blanked the Mountain Lions over the final seven frames for a 5-3 extra-inning win (it was the 7-inning game).  He surrendered only six hits, fanned 11 strikeouts, and walked three while improving his season record to 5-0.

Francis Marion, now 13-6, will host the University of Bridgeport for a non-conference game on Tuesday (March 4) at 6 p.m., before entertaining King University (Tenn.) for a three-game Conference Carolinas series this weekend.
