Francis Marion University Athletics

Junior forward Kristina Sragakis of the Francis Marion University women's soccer team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Sept. 16-22, 2024.

A native of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, Canada, she scored both goals in Francis Marion's 2-1 road win over Chowan University.  She recorded six shots, five of which were on target, in 78 minutes of action.  It was her fifth match-winning score in her young Patriot career.  Earlier in the week, she posted three shots in 87 minutes during a 1-1 road tie at UNC Pembroke.

Francis Marion (2-1-2) will host a pair of matches this week.  FMU will entertain conference opponent Barton College on Wednesday (Sept. 25) at 4:30 p.m. and non-conference foe Shaw University on Saturday (Sept. 28) at 5 p.m.
