Sophomore forward Trinity Adams of the Francis Marion University women's basketball team has been named the McDonald's Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Jan. 29-Feb. 4.

The Rock Hill native averaged 20.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steal per game in two wins last week, while shooting 68.0 percent from the floor (including 2-of-5 from three-point range) and was 4-of-7 at the foul line.  These stats were compiled in only 26.5 minutes per game in the two contests.  Her week included a 17-point and 6-rebound performance against Chowan University and 23 points and three rebounds versus Southern Wesleyan University.  Adams averaged 10.5 ppg in the first quarter of the two games (21 points total).

FMU (15-5, 10-1) will look for its 10th consecutive win when the Patriots host the University of Mount Olive on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.  The Patriots will play at Emmanuel College (Ga.) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
