FMU: Returning starter amd 2-year letterwinner....Appeared in 31 matches with 29 starts in 2019....Team's setter....Team-high 17 double-doubles (assists/digs)....Season assist total (1178) was the highest by a Patriot in 17 seasons....PBC rankings: 2nd in assists (1178) and assists per set (10.07), 17th in service aces (27), 18th in digs (306) and digs per set (2.62)....Career-high 71 assists vs Lander in 2019 PBC Tournament....PBC Team of Academic Distinction 2019....PBC Specialist of the Week (Nov. 4-10, 2019)....Played in 27 of 28 matches as a freshman and made 5 starts....Peach Belt Conference rankings: 9th in assists per set (4.57), 10th in assists (411), 17th in service aces per set (0.19), and 22nd in service aces (17)....Seven double-doubles (assists/digs)....2nd on team in assists and 6th in digs per set.....Her background alone stands out....From being a high school state champion to being All-State and receiving other numerous awards for her contribution to her team's success, she understands the amount of hard work and effort it takes to succeed at this level....Being a setter, the number one skill that is needed is IQ....Has the ability to be so deceiving in her decisions that her opponents struggle to know who she is setting....Always doing the most, whether offensively or defensively, to keep her team in the game....Looking forward to seeing what contributions she will continue to bring in the fall....Member of the student newspaper.....Works in the FMU cognitive neuroscience lab.....Works on the student newspaper staff....Chi Alpha Sigma national college athlete honor society....Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award 2020, 2021....Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll 2019, 2021....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2018 (fall), 2019 (spring, fall), 2020 (spring, fall), 2021 (spring).

  • Born Finn Moloney Millians (pronounced mah-LIONS) in Peachtree City, Ga.
  • A graduate of McIntosh High School, where she played for coaches Wendy Mabon, Kelly Lewis, and Sarah Knight
  • As a senior, averaged 5.0 assists, 2.9 digs, 1.1 kills, and 0.5 service aces per set while helping lead the Chiefs to a 31-3 record and the Georgia 5A state title
  • Garnered All-State and All-Area recognition in 2017
  • Two-time All-Star selection
  • Played with A5 South and Tsunami club programs, and at the club level she won the Big South 2016 championship (USA Division)
  • Qualified for USAV nationals every year since her U14 campaign
  • Nicknames are Finny, Finnamon Buns, Finland, etc.

  • How you got your nickname: My roommate my freshman year of school started calling me Finny and now most of my friends and my coach do, as well. Also, my Dad when I was little

  • Why you chose your sport: My mom played and used to take me to watch her matches in her adult league; I ended up wanting to learn to play and loved it enough to give up basketball and soccer
  • The biggest mental challenge to improving faster: I am really hard on myself
  • Interesting Notes: I am from a city where golf carts are a main form of transportation; I drove a golf cart to school 
  • Brush With Greatness: Mentored in music by Lisa Kelly (former Celtic Women member); met Young Kim in Koreatown NYC, a relatively well-known Korean opera singer
