Anastasia (AJ) Lux enters her first year as an assistant coach on the Francis Marion University volleyball staff.
Among her duties will be on-floor coaching, practice organization, and the administering of the program's social media plan.
A native of Shelbyville, Ind., Lux is a 2019 graduate of East Tennessee State University, where she earned a B.A.S. degree in criminal justice and criminology. A three-year team captain, Lux earned first-team All-Conference honors as an outside hitter in 2016. She also garnered Southern Conference All-Academic Team recogntion in 2018. She helped lead the Buccaneers to a pair of NCAA Division I Tournament appearances (2017, 2018).
Her first two years at ETSU coincided with Baufield (current FMU head coach) serving as an assistant coach on the Buccaneers' staff.
During the past year, Lux also served as a head coach with the Kingsport (Tenn.) Volleyball Club. She previously was an assistant coach with KVC, and worked as a summer camp co-coach at ETSU.
Lux played three years at Shelbyville High School and one at Roncalli High School, compiling over 90 wins during her high school career. An All-Conference selection in 2012, she played on three sectional (2011, 2013, 2014) and two regional (2011, 2014) championship squads, while helping guide Roncalli to the 2014 Final Four.
