Biography

FMU:  First-year player at FMU.....Coach Parker first met/coached Kandace in club ball in Charleston.....Hard worker....Very determined player....A player that will do anything you ask of her and lives selflessly.....Excited about the athleticism she will bring to the field.

  • Born Kandace Lynda Letton in Columbia, SC
  • A graduate of Northside Christian Academy
  • Lettered in two other sports (basketball, cross country) and was a past member of Northside’s cheerleading squad
  • Previously played for the Providence Athletic Club (PAC), an organization that provides competitive high school level sports opportunities for home educated athletes in the Columbia area, under the direction of coaches Joel Chandler and Devin Lanier
  • Also played for the GPS Lexington SA club, under the direction of coach Tony Tommasi
  • An A/B honor roll student
  • Named to the 2019 NACA All-Tournament Team
  • Team MVP for basketball (2019-20)
  • Nickname is Kandy

  • Why you chose your sport: My close family friend was very good at playing soccer, when she passed away at an early age, I wanted to keep playing the game almost as if I was playing it for her
  • The biggest mental challenge to improving faster: Getting inside my own head and over thinking everything 
  • Interesting Notes: I played several sports in high school (basketball, cross country, soccer) and was a cheerleader; I was MVP my last year in basketball; I am shy at first, but won’t stop talking once I get to know you; I traveled a good bit when I was younger, including Europe and Costa Rica
  • Brush With Greatness: My team won the state championship and went to regionals in Texas
