Biography
FMU: First-year player at FMU....Transfer from Spartanburg Methodist College....Will have two years of eligibility with the Patriots....Super excited to have De’Ja join the FMU program....Possesses the skill set and basketball IQ to make an immediate impact on our program and in the Peach Belt Conference....Her game mirrors that of (current FMU All-American) Shaunice Fulmore.....A true wing player or scoring guard, who can score from anywhere on the court.....Can drive to the basket, shoot from mid-range, or score from beyond the three-point arc.....At 5-9, has the length and athleticism to affect the game at both ends of the court.....SMC: two-time NJCAA All-American....The Lady Pioneers’ all-time leading scorer with 853 points....As a sophomore, averaged 17.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 3.2 steals per game as SMC posted an 18-7 record and came within one win of advancing to the NJCAA National Tournament.....Connected on 54.9 percent of her field goal attempts, including 50.9 percent from behind the three-point arc, and shot 64 percent at the free throw line.....Earned third-team All-American honors and was named the Region X Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.....As a freshman, averaged 15.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game and garnered honorable mention All-America recognition.
