Antoya Miller begins her fourth season on the Francis Marion University women's basketball coaching staff.
In her three seasons, the Patriots have recorded 58 wins. Last season, FMU was 16-12 after posting an 18-12 mark in 2016-17 and placing second in the Peach Belt Conference's East Division. In her first year (2015-16), she was part of a staff that guided the Patriots to a 24-9 record, a No.23 national rankings, and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. All that after being picked to finish next to last according to the pre-season Peach Belt Conference coaches' poll.
Miller came to FMU after serving as an assistant coach at Tusculum College for two seasons (2013-15). She previously spent one year as an assistant coach at Eastern Illinois University during the 2012-13 season, where she helped the Panthers to a 20-12 record and a share of the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season championship. Eastern Illinois also made its first-ever postseason tournament appearance, defeating Missouri on the road in the first round of the Women's NIT.
Before coming to Florence, Miller had a long history with FMU head coach Jeri Porter.
Prior to her arrival at Eastern Illinois, Miller spent four years as the director of women's basketball operations at George Mason University -- when Porter was the Patriots' head coach. Miller coordinated film exchange and planned and organized all aspects of team travel, while assisting coaches with day-to-day operations and on-campus recruiting.
Miller earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of North Alabama in 2004 and a master's degree in criminal justice from UNA in 2006. She was part of Porter's first recruiting class at North Alabama and played two seasons under the current FMU head coach.
