Biography

FMU:  Returning letterman....Inspirational story....Appeared in three games in 2023 after returning from treatments for Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma (diagnosed in fall of 2022)....Attended FMU in 2021-22, but was red-shirted....Transfer from Alabama A&M University.....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2023 (spring), 2024 (fall).

AA&MU: Appeared in 28 games and made 25 starts in 2021....Batted .195 with nine runs scored, two doubles, two triples, a homer, and nine RBIs....Registered a .300 on-base percentage and stole 5-of-7 bases.

  • Why you first chose your sport:  It's in my DNA; baseball was my first true love, it gives me a feeling that no other sport can
  • Biggest mental challenge in your sport:  Getting complacent, staying focused, and letting the game come to you
  • Interesting Notes: I was able to still play baseball and still practice, and was able to keep up with academics, all while going through 12 chemotherapy treatments and a stem cell transplant for the past two years, after being diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma (in fall of 2022)
