PERSONAL: Born YongLiang Shao in Guangzhou, China....A graduate of Saddlebrook Preparatory Academy, where he played under the direction of coaches John Thalassinos, Steve Bann, and Dale Lynch....Won the AJGA Tournament at Stallion Mountain in Las Vegas in December 2012....In six events on the Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) in 2011-12, he carded a 75.15 stroke average and registered two Top-5 finishes, including winning the Black Diamond Ranch Tournament....Was named his school’s Player of the Year in 2012 and also earned Saddlebrook Academy Golf Academy Hardest Worker accolades....Nickname is Edwin.
