FMU: First-year player at FMU....A strike thrower....A lower three-quarters arm-slot pitcher....Throws in the mid 80’s with a good sinker and slider.....Will also be given the chance to start, but could see time out of the bullpen.....Played freshman season at Coastal Carolina University in 2014 and was red-shirted in 2015.....CCU: Appeared in 13 contests and made one start, while posting a 5.50 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 18 innings.....Played 2015 (his second season) with the Florence RedWolves.

PERSONAL:  Born Zachary Jordan Burke in Lancaster, Pa.....A graduate of Penn Manor High School, where he played for coach Jim Zander.....As a senior, was 4-3 pitching with a 1.91 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 51.1 innings.....At the plate, batted .353 with 21 RBIs, while helping lead the Comets to the PIAA Class AAAA Tournament.....Over his final two years at the prep level, he combined for 102 strikeouts in 106 innings while issuing only 34 walks.....As a junior, batted .384 with 26 runs scored, two homers, and 26 RBI....5-5 on the mound with a 3.08 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 54.2 innings....Was a first-team Section One selection as an infielder and made the Big 26 team.....2012 PA Coaches Association All-State....2012 District III Silver Medal....Also earned letters in basketball (2) and football (1).....Was No.1 pitcher for Evo-Shield Canes travel ball team....Nickname is Burke.
