• Graduate of Cardinal Newman High School, where he played for coach Terry Anton
• As a senior, batted .449 with 29 runs scored, nine doubles, three triples, one homer, 18 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases; recorded a .563 on-base percentage and posted a 2-2 mark on the mound with a 4.30 ERA
• In 85 career games as a varsity player, hit .317 with 79 runs scored, 43 RBIs and 43 stolen bases
• Two-time All-State honors on the baseball diamond (2015, 2016)
• 2016 All-Midlands selection by The State
• 2015 All-State recognition in football
• Twice (2014, 2015) garnered individual state wrestling championships
• All-State in three sports (football, baseball, wrestling)
• 5-year letterman in wrestling, 4-year in both baseball and football
