FMU:  Returning starter....Started 42 games in 2016....Threw out 22 of 55 runners attempting to steal....Fielding percentage of .987....13 multi-hit and 6 multi-RBI games....Transfer from the University of South Carolina, where he played two seasons....A switch-hitter....As good a defensive receiver – both catching and throwing – as you can find....His experience at the Division I level should give FMU an added bonus in the area of handling our pitching staff....Named to the 2015 New England Collegiate (Summer) Baseball League All-Star Game (played for the Plymouth Pilgrims)....USC: In 2015, played in 44 games and made 30 starts, while batting .179 with nine runs scored, two doubles, two homers, and 10 runs batted in.....As a freshman (2014), he appeared in 20 games (six starts) and hit .286.....Was named to SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Born Logan Michael Koch in Charlotte, N.C.....A product of South Mecklenburg High School, where he played for coach Jon Tuscan.....Rated as the No.6 best high school prospect in North Carolina and No.336 best high school prospect in the nation by Perfect Game USA....Also ranked as the No.1 catcher in North Carolina by Impact Baseball and Perfect Game USA.....Helped the Sabres to the 2013 4A state championship....2012 All-South Charlotte News Team....2012 Southwestern 4A All-League honors.....As a sophomore, batted .425 with 5 homers and 40 RBIs.....Played for North carolina team at 2012 South Atlantic Border Battle....Also played for Dirtbags AAU squad, and named to All-Tournament Team at 2012 WWBA World Championship.....His father (Donn) played collegiately at Florida Southern and spent two seasons in the Chicago White Sox organization.
