Tripp Hamrick enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Francis Marion program.
A native of Ellenboro, N.C., he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2018. He was a four-year member of the Bears baseball program as an infielder, appearing in 72 career games with a .265 batting average and 33 runs scored, 12 extra-base hits, and 22 runs batted in.
This past season, he served as recruiting coordinator and hitting and infield coach at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, N.C. He was a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater for one season, and spent two seasons as an assistant coach and one year as head coach at East Rutherford High School, where he also taught for four years.
He also has collegiate summer league coaching experience in both the Coastal Plains League (2 years with the Forest City Owls) and the Southern Collegiate Baseball League (3 years with the Mooresville Spinners).
He is a product of East Rutherford High School.
