FMU:  First-year player at FMU....Transferred from the University of Mount Olive during the 2014 winter break....Younger brother of former Patriot outfielder Austin Smetana....His dad Gary also played for the Patriots....Played one season at Mount Olive and two years at USC Sumter.....UMO: Batted .250 in 10 games with three runs scored and an RBI....Already earned his undergraduate degree from Mount Olive.

PERSONAL: Born Chandler Mason Smetana in Florence....A graduate of West Florence High School....AAAA All-State Team....Participated in the North-South Game.....Diamond Prospects Gold Glove Team (2008 & 2009)....Nickname is Smut.
