EFSC: In 2019, notched a 3-0 mark with one save and a 3.34 ERA in 15 appearances....Opponents hit only .173 against him....Struck out 46 batters in only 35 innings for a nine-inning average of 11.83....Helped lead the Titans to a 31-20 record....As a freshman, was 1-0 with a 5.89 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 18.1 innings of work.

PERSONAL:

• Born Bailey Wendel in Hockessin, Del.
• A graduate of Hagerty High School, where he played for coaches Matt Cleveland and Jared Goodwin
• Hagerty was 26-10 in 2017 as Wendel went 7-2 on the mound
• In three seasons, produced a 14-2 mark with five saves
• Helped lead the Huskies to back-to-back Class 8A championship game appearances in 2016 and 2017

• Why you first chose your sport: Baseball is the only sport I stuck with growing up, and I fell in love with it fully in high school and realized I wanted to pursue the next level
• The biggest mental challenge to you improving faster: Mentally committing to a consistent and long-term schedule implemented by myself (strength-training, diet, etc.)
