FMU: Returning letterman....Made 7 mound appearances (including 1 start) in 2016....Spent freshman year as a red-shirt at Coastal Carolina University and will thus have four years of eligibility at Francis Marion.....Dean's List recognition for 2014 fall semester at CCU....Hard thrower who has all the tools necessary to succeed.....Expectations for him are high.....Looking for him to mature physically, but he has a high ceiling and could be throwing in the 90’s by his junior year.....Played 2015 summer ball in the Southern Collegiate League....Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll 2016....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2015 (fall), 2016 (spring).

PERSONAL: Born Conner A. Pate in Florence, S.C.....A product of Marlboro County High School, where he played under the direction of coach Phillip Blue.....As a senior, was listed 18th on HSSR.com’s Top 20 players in South Carolina.....Two-time All-Region selection, including after the 2013 season that saw him register a 4.11 ERA with 27 strikeouts in 39.2 innings.
