YOUNG HARRIS, GA – Francis Marion University sophomore Diego Vega Espinosa earned a straight-sets singles victory, but the Patriots dropped a 6-1 decision to Young Harris College, Saturday afternoon (March 28) in Conference Carolinas men's tennis action.
 
Francis Marion (5-8, 3-3) will return to action on Wednesday with a 2 p.m. road match at the University of Mount Olive.
 
Young Harris (5-8, 2-3) swept the three doubles matches by scores of 6-4, 6-3, and 7-5.
 
The Mountain Lions claimed the first singles match to finish, before Vega Espinosa pulled FMU to with 2-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 win at the No.6 position.
 
Young Harris captured the other four singles matches, although one went three sets and two had second-set tie-breakers involved.
