The Francis Marion University softball program remains 10th in the initial National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA)/GoRout NCAA Division II Top 25 coaches poll for the 2026 season.  That is the same position FMU occupied in the pre-season poll.

Francis Marion owns a 5-1 record after sweeping a road doubleheader from Cokwer University on Tuesday.

Auburn University at Montgomery sits atop this week's poll with a 6-0 marks.

Francis Marion will host the Swamp Fox Sizzler event this weekend.  FMU will host Ferris State University (2-2) for a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m.  Ferris State will play Tusculum University in a twinbill on Saturday at 1 p.m., and the Patriots will face Tusculum in a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m.

All action will take place at the FMU Softball Stadium in the Griffin Athletic Complex.  Daily admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students with FMU students admitted free with identification.

Tusculum is among the other schools receiving votes in this week's Top 25.
