Aubrey Johnson has been named the Conference Carolinas volleyball Specialist of the Week for the week of Sept. 15-21.
A native of Chanhassen, Minn., Johnson averaged 9.67 assists and 2.33 digs per set as FMU went unbeaten last week with three conference victories. She also recorded eight kills, one service ace, and two blocks, while registering a .373 set percentage.
Her week included a 37-assist and career-high 14-dig performance in a 3-1 win at Barton College; a career-high 48 assists, four kills, and eight digs in a 3-2 win over defending conference tournament champion Converse University; and 31 assists and six digs in a 3-0 sweep of Southern Wesleyan University.
For the season, she ranks eighth in the conference for assists per set and has helped direct the Patriot offense to a second-place ranking in team hitting percentage.
FMU will play at Chowan University on Wednesday at 6 p.m., before hosting both Erskine College (4 p.m.) and Flagler College (6 p.m.) on Friday (Sept. 26).
Johnson is a product of Minnetonka High School.
