Four Patriots earn D2CCA All-Southeast Region honors

FLORENCE, SC – Francis Marion University senior forward Tehya Dave', sophomore defender Alana Hunt, junior defender Joy Brockmann, and junior goalkeeper Erin Grabeel have been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-Southeast Region Team for 2025. Dave' and Hunt were first-team selections while Brockmann and Grabeel earned second-team honors on Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 25).

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dave' led the Conference Carolinas with 34 total points, which ranks 12th in NCAA Division II. She tied for the league lead with 13 goals while dishing out eight assists in 20 matches played. Dave' paced the conference and ranks seventh nationally with six game-winning goals in 2025. Additionally, she sits 10th in NCAA Division II and led all league players with 2.20 shots on goal per game.

A first-team all-conference selection in both her seasons at FMU, Dave' was also the conference's 2025 Offensive Player of the Year and named to the All-Tournament Team. It marks a second-straight year that she has garnered all-region honors after being a second-team selection in 2024.

This season, Dave' climbed to 10th all-time in program history with 34 points in a single season. She also moved into a tie for 12th all-time with 22 career goals at FMU.

Hunt, a native of Swindon, England, anchored one of the top defensive units in NCAA Division II, which surrendered just eight goals this season. She started all 20 matches and tallied the most minutes of any field player with 1,727 while contributing two goals and an assist. The Patriots are tied for the top spot nationally in shutout percentage (0.750) and rank fifth in goals-against average (0.400). FMU held their opponents to just 6.7 shots per match and only 2.5 shots on goal per game. 

She is a two-time All-Conference Carolinas selection and was the league's 2025 Defensive Player of the Year. Hunt earns D2CCA all-region status for the first time in her career. 

Brockmann, a native of Bernau, Germany, contributed to the defensive backline for the Patriots and started all 20 matches with 1,390 minutes played. She ranked fifth on the team in total points with eight after scoring two goals and registering four assists. Brockmann earned all-conference honors for the second consecutive season, including an appearance on the first team in 2025. She earned the all-region accolade for the first time in her career.

Grabeel, a native of Gordonsville, Va., ranks third in DII with 14 shutouts and eighth in goals-against average (0.403) after playing 1786:04 in goal for FMU. In 20 starts, she conceded just eight goals while collecting 39 saves on 129 shots faced. Grabeel posted the sixth-longest shutout streak in NCAA Division II women's soccer history at 1157:16 scoreless minutes, which stretched over 14 matches. She is a two-time all-conference selection and was the Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week a league-high three times in 2025.

This group helped the Patriots close out the 2025 season with an impressive 17-3-0 overall record, matching the most wins in a single season in program history. Francis Marion's 14-0-0 start was the best in the 31-year history of the Patriot women's soccer program. FMU secured its fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament (1998, 2000, 2024, 2025) and earned back-to-back appearances for the first time in team history.

Dave' is a graduate of North Catholic HS and is pursuing her bachelor's degree in marketing and finance. Hunt is majoring in psychology and is a product of Hartpury College, while Brockmann is a graduate of Friedrich Lugwig Jahn, Sportschule Potsdam, and is also majoring in psychology. Grabeel is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and is a product of Shattuck-St. Mary's School (MN).
