Duncan Alevok has been named the Conference Carolinas men's basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 17-23, 2025.
A native of St. Petersburg, Fla., Alevok averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and 1.0 assists per game in two contests last week. He shot 12-of-20 from the floor (60.0 percent) while knocking down three-of-seven from beyond the arc. Alevok helped the Patriot defense limit North Georgia to a season-low 36.5 percent shooting in a tightly contested midweek matchup.
He started the week with 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting, while adding six rebounds and one block in a road contest at the University of North Georgia. Over the weekend, Alevok scored a career-high 19 points on 7-of-10 attempts, including a trio of three-pointers, in a 98-86 victory over Shorter. He also matched a career-high with nine rebounds while tallying three blocks and three steals on Saturday.
For the season, Alevok is averaging 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game through the opening two weeks of the season. He ranks second in the Conference Carolinas and 14th in NCAA Division II with 10 blocks.
Francis Marion (1-3) will host the University of Mount Olive (2-3) on Tuesday evening (Nov. 25) in a Conference Carolinas East Division matchup with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students, with FMU students being admitted free with identification.
