FLORENCE, SC – Lees-McRae College defeated Francis Marion University 6-1, Friday afternoon (Apr. 12) in Conference Carolinas women's tennis action ruining Senior Day for the Patriots.
 
Francis Marion (6-8, 2-4) will host King University on Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Kassab Courts.
 
Lees-McRae (10-4, 4-1) won all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 advantage.
 
The Bobcats then clinched the match with straight-set wins at singles positions No.3, 1, and 2.
 
Junior Sophia Hansen provided the lone Patriot point with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) victory at No.5 singles.
 
Prior to the match, FMU honored its two seniors: Gabriel Karatantcheva and Julia Bellini Fernandes Pinto.
