FLORENCE, S.C. – Belmont Abbey College scored 18 unanswered runs to erase an early deficit and defeated Francis Marion University 19-2, Monday afternoon (March 4) in Conference Carolinas baseball action.

This is the first series loss of the season for FMU, after the two teams split a doubleheader on Saturday. The Patriots drop to 10-7 overall and 3-3 in conference action.

Francis Marion will host the College of Saint Rose for single games on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at Sparrow Stadium. First pitch is 6 p.m. on each night. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students with FMU students being admitted free with ID.
