Peyton Wilson led Francis Marion University with two hits, while junior designated hitter
Noah Stout drove in two runs during a 17-3 loss to Wingate University on Tuesday (Mar. 19) night in conference baseball action.
Francis Marion (13-13) will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 23) to resume Conference Carolinas league action against Young Harris College. Game one of a doubleheader will begin at 1 p.m. in Sparrow Stadium.

Zack Summerville advanced to first on a fielding error by Wingate's shortstop. Wilson followed with a single to left field and Stout doubled down the left field line to plate both Summerville and Wilson. Junior first baseman
Kollin Crepeau singled through the middle, scoring Stout to account for a 3-0 lead.
Wingate (16-10) went on to score 17 unanswered runs, highlighted by 10 in the top of the fifth inning.Â
