Tionne Rollins scored a game-high 18 points to lead Francis Marion University, but the Patriots fell 89-65 to UNC Pembroke on Saturday (Feb. 17) afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action.

Francis Marion (12-11, 10-5) has its three-game winning streak snapped. The Patriots return to the court on Wednesday (Feb. 21) in Wilson, N.C., against Barton College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Willie Patterson III was the second Patriot to score in double digits, tallying 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the floor.

Marlow Gilmore Jr. chipped in eight points apiece, while Beamer led Francis Marion with nine rebounds.

Bradlee Haskell paced the regionally fourth-ranked Braves with 17 points, followed by Javonte Waverly and Amare Miller with 13 each.

The Braves' Elijah Cobb opened the first half by draining a three-pointer, but in response, Beamer sank his own three-pointer to tie the game at 3-3.

After a six-point run by UNCP, Francis Marion trailed 15-8 with just over 12 minutes left in the first half. Jacques Jr. put away a pair of free throws to cap a 5-0 spurt and trimmed the margin to three-points at 15-13.

A 7-0 run by the Braves put the margin in double figures at 22-12. UNC Pembroke took its biggest lead of the first half at the 2:48, a 17-point margin at 40-23.  FMU answered with eight straight points, but trailed 43-31 at halftime. Â

UNC Pembroke opened the second half with a 19-6 run to expand the lead to 25 points at 62-37.
