Caroline Lucas paced Francis Marion University with 10 kills, a .368 hitting percentage, and three service aces in a 25-18, 25-20, 27-25 sweep of Shorter University on Saturday (Oct. 19) afternoon.
The Patriots will continue Conference Carolinas league action as they host Chowan University on Wednesday (Oct. 23) afternoon in the Smith University Center at 3 p.m. They will also play against USC Aiken the same day at 6 p.m.
The Patriots (7-11, 6-3) extend their winning streak to five matches after defeating Young Harris College and Shorter this weekend.
With nine kills and one hitting error on 14 attack attempts, senior middle blocker
Kaytlin Smart had the highest hitting percentage of .571 on Saturday for the Patriots.

Kara Walker led FMU with 12 digs as sophomore outside hitter
Chaney Barth and junior libero
Katie Floyd each had 11 digs. Walker also had seven kills and three blocks, while Barth registered eight kills.
Junior setter
Mya Mendoza tallied 38 assists and eight digs against the Hawks.
Shorter's Victoria Sparks led the Hawks (10-10, 5-4) with 12 kills and a .344 hitting percentage.
