Bryce Beamer paced Francis Marion University with a game-high 18 points in a 76-57 road win over Erskine College on Saturday (Jan. 27) afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's play.

Francis Marion returns to the court on Tuesday (Jan. 30) against Chowan University. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith University Center.

The Patriots even their overall record at 9-9, while moving to 7-3 in Conference Carolinas play.

Beamer notched his seventh double-double of the year by grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. Senior guard
Tionne Rollins followed Beamer with 14 points. Unable to miss, Rollins shot 100 percent from both the field (5-of-5) and behind the three-point arc (4-of-4). Eight different Patriots own the school-record for three-point accuracy at 5-of-5.

Chipping in an additional nine points, six rebounds, and five assists was
Horaces Jacques Jr., while junior guard
Farid SaintCyr Jr. tallied eight points. Ten different Patriots scratched in the scoring column.

With a team high of 14 points, Jaylen Prioleau led the Flying Fleet (3-14, 0-10) while shooting 6-of-10 from the field.

Shooting 45.6 percent from the field, Francis Marion sank 26-of-57 shots, while Erskine only registered 18-of-56 (32.1%). Also holding a commanding edge in rebounds, the Patriots grabbed a total of 51 in comparison to the Flying Fleet's 33.

Opening the contest, Beamer canned a three pointer just seven seconds after tip-off. Following Beamer's lead, Rollins was the next to drain a three-point shot as the Patriots took a four-point lead and never trailed in the contest.

Gaining traction, the Patriots went up by eight at a score of 25-17 after a driving layup from sophomore forward
Adonis Cole. An additional pair of buckets from SaintCyr Jr. capped a 14-2 spurt and pushed FMU to a margin of 13 points at 32-19.

Entering halftime, Francis Marion led 42-26 after a final three-pointer was made by Erskine's Max Peeler in the final minute.

Starting off the second half in similar fashion, FMU posted five points with shots made by Beamer and Rollins, working into an 18-point lead at 47-29.

With just over nine minutes left in the contest, junior guard
Niko Noumeros sank a pair of free throws and was quickly followed by yet another made three-pointer from Rollins as the lead surged to 62-38.

Francis Marion took its largest lead at 72-47 after an offensive stick-back by Noumeros with 4:09 left.

The Patriots, who lead the conference in scoring offense, held an overwhelming 31-2 edge in fast-break points.
