FLORENCE, SC – Francis Marion University freshman Viktoria Leth captured a straight-sets singles win, but the Patriots dropped a 6-1 Peach Belt Conference decision to 15th-ranked and unbeaten University of North Georgia, Friday afternoon (March 12) in women's tennis action.
 
Francis Marion (2-6, 0-2) will return to the Kassab Courts on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. to host Young Harris College.
 
Leth accounted for the lone FMU point in the women's match by earning a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the No.2 position.  Junior Eva Zannier and sophomore Gabriel Karatantcheva lost a narrow and hard-fought 6-4 match at No.3 doubles.
