YOUNG HARRIS, GA – Junior forward Kiana Adderton led Francis Marion University with 25 points, but the Patriots fell 59-49 to Young Harris College in a road Peach Belt Conference game on Sunday (Feb. 9) afternoon.

The Patriots (11-9, 7-7) will return to the Smith University Center on Wednesday (Feb. 12) to host Augusta University at 5:30 pm.

Adderton hit on 10-of-17 field goal attempts for her fifth 20-point outing of the year, and she also grabbed five rebounds. Junior guard Macy Passmore added six points and three rebounds for the Patriots.

Young Harris (13-9, 7-7) was led by guard Niaya White who netted 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Guard Jada Griffin had 13 points, nine rebounds, and three steals, while teammate Bria Clemmons added 13 points and handed out eight assists.

The game was tied 12-12 at the end of the first quarter and the Mountain Lions held a narrow 27-26 advantage at halftime.

FMU rallied to take a 38-33 midway through the third period on a free throw by freshman Kristian Wall.
