Box Score GREENWOOD, SC – Patriot junior Georgia Garrison posted her second double-double in consecutive nights with 12 kills and 16 digs, but Francis Marion University dropped a four-set decision (25-14, 25-18, 15-25, 25-15) to conference-leading Lander University, Saturday afternoon (Sept. 16) in the Peach Belt volleyball action.
Francis Marion will return home to entertain Southern Wesleyan University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Smith University Center.
Following Garrison, sophomore Lenee' Blot registered 10 kills and senior Erika Hartings nine.
Sophomore libero Natalie Vaughn recorded 14 digs, while junior setter Carrie McGinnis dished out 38 assists.
Hannah Hurtz paced Lander (9-1, 2-0) with 12 kills, while Hannah McManus dug up 20 balls.
After falling in the first two sets, FMU rebounded to hit .300 as a team in the third set and force the match to continue to a fourth set.
