Box Score For the second time in less than a month, graduate student Evrik Gary has
been named the Francis Marion University Student-Athlete of the
Week, this time for the period ending Dec. 16.
The 6-3 Camden, S.C., native tallied team-highs of 20 points and
nine rebounds while helping the Patriots to an 83-70 road win at
Bluefield State College on Dec. 12 in the squad's only action last
week. As the Patriots returned from exams, Gary connected on
6-of-13 field goal attempts, including 3-of-5 three-point shots,
and hit 5-of-6 free throws in 35 minutes of action. He also
added two assists and two steals.
Gary now has 1,323 career points, seven points shy of former
Patriot All-American, FMU Hall of Fame member, and current
Florence-area physician Dr. Robert Moore who occupies 11th position
on the school's career scoring list.
Gary and the rest of the Patriots return to Peach Belt
Conference action on Dec. 16 at USC Aiken with tipoff set for 7:30
p.m.
