FLORENCE, SC – Freshman Riley Forester and junior Danielle
Parker combined for 23 kills and a .370 hitting percentage to lead
Francis Marion University to a three-game sweep (25-18, 25-16,
25-22) of non-conference foe Limestone College, Tuesday evening
(Sept. 14) in women's college volleyball action.
The Patriots improve to 7-2, the program's best start
since the 2006 squad opened 8-2.
Forester registered 12 kills and 10 digs, while Parker had 11
kills. Freshman setter Nicole Bennett handed out 34 assists
and dug up 11 balls, while senior libero Kelsie Deaton added a
match-high 19 digs.
Junior Kassi Boedeker paced Limestone (2-6) with eight kills and
14 digs. Junior setter Danielle Seibert dished out 17 assists and
freshman libero Rebecca Kerrison compiled 16 digs.
Francis Marion will open Peach Belt Conference play on Friday
when the Patriots play host to the University of Montevallo for a 7
p.m. match.
