AIKEN, SC – Senior defender Justin Kibler scored in the
83rd minute off a Chris Foltanski assist to give Francis Marion
University a 1 -0 Peach Belt Conference win over USC Aiken,
Wednesday evening (Oct. 20) in men's college soccer
action.
Francis Marion ups its overall record to 6-8-1 and its PBC mark
to 3-4, while USCA drops to 1-10-2 and 0-6-1.
Kibler, who just last week connected on his first goal since his
freshman season, connected on his second match-winning tally eight
days. He volleyed a cross from Foltanski into the net at the
82:40 mark.
Senior goalkeeper Clark Richeson made three saves en route to
his 16th career shutout tying the school record set by Mike Frazee
between 1998 and 2001.
USC Aiken outshot the Patriots 17-7 and held a 7-2 advantage in
corner kicks.
