ST. AUGUSTINE, FL - Regular-season champion Flagler College
swept to a three-game win over a short-handed Francis Marion
University squad, 25-15, 25-17, 25-17, Saturday afternoon (Nov. 7)
in Peach Belt Conference volleyball action.
The Patriots (11-19, 3-11) will play in the Peach Belt
Conference Tournament beginning on Saturday in Aiken.
Sophomore Ardelia Morris led FMU with six kills, while
sophomore Ashlyn Underhill added five kills. For the
third straight match, Francis Marion was playing without the
services of two starters.
Patriot senior setter Jess O'Leary registered 20 assists and six
digs, while sophomore libero Hallie Legg dug up 10 balls.
Flagler improves to 28-8 overall and 13-1 in its inaugural year
as a Peach Belt member.
