Francis Marion University Athletics

Steven Dill begins his second year as an assistant coach at Francis Marion.

A native of Florence and a product of South Florence High School, Dill is a 2007 graduate of Coker College, where he earned a B.S. degree in sport management.  He was a four-year letterman on the Cobra baseball team and served as team captain for two seasons.

He previously served as a pitching coach at Florence-Darlington Technical College for four seasons (2010-13).  During that time, the Stingers posted a 132-86 overall record, led Region X in team earned run average twice, and captured the 2012 regular-season championship with a 44-12 record.

One of his players won back-to-back Relief Pitcher of the Year honors, and one garnered Region Pitcher of the Year accolades.  He has coached three players that have been drafted.

Dill is married to the former Rachel Briggs and the couple are expecting their first child.
