Reagan Hune enters her first year as the Assistant Sports Information Director and Internal Operations Manager at Francis Marion University.
Before joining FMU, Hune earned her master’s degree in just one year at Guilford College, where she served as a graduate assistant in the Athletic Communications Department. In this role, she was the primary contact for VB, M/W XC, WBB, M/W T&F, MGOLF, and SB. Hune also produced creative digital content, managed social media, provided color commentary for both men’s and women’s basketball, worked as a public address announcer, and served as the lead producer for all live sporting events.
Her notable volunteer experience includes assisting with the 2025 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament and the 2024 Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championships.
Hune earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Communications from the University of Mount Olive, graduating Cum Laude. While at UMO, she began her career as a color commentator for men’s basketball before transitioning into an athletic communications internship during her senior year. In that position, she contributed to game-day operations, created graphics, served as a PA announcer, and worked as an on-air personality.
Before beginning her professional career, Hune competed as a collegiate basketball player at multiple levels, representing Indiana University East (NAIA), Palm Beach State College (JUCO), the University of North Alabama (Division I), and ultimately the University of Mount Olive (Division II). Throughout her basketball career, she earned recognition such as multiple “Player of the Week” honors and was named to the 2022–23 Conference Carolinas All-Conference Team.
“My aim is always to create an atmosphere—on screen and in the stands—that reflects the student athletes’ hard work, builds community, and raises the bar for what collegiate sports content should be,” Hune stated.
