McKeever enters his first season as associate head coach for the FMU men's soccer program.
McKeever comes to Francis Marion after three seasons as head coach of the One Knoxville SC program in the USL League One. He compiled a 29-19-20 mark. He helped oversee the team's transition from USL League Two (as a first-year program) to League One in 2023.
He served as head coach at Young Harris College for 17 seasons, from 2005 to 2022, and registered a .740 winning percentage with a 222-72-18 record. His Mountain Lion squads captured six Peach Belt Conference regular-season championships and five PBC Tournament titles. He guided Young Harris to the NCAA Division II Tournament on six occasions, reaching the National Quarterfinals in 2014 and 2017. His teams produced 34 All-Conference selections and 15 All-Americans.
He was named the conference Coach of the Year three times, region Coach of the Year twice, and his squads garnered NSCAA Team Academic Awards six times.
McKeever earned both a B.A. degree in psychology and a M.Ed. degree from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn. Â
He served as head coach for the Des Moines Menace, a squad in the USL League Two, for three seasons; was an assistant men's and women's coach at his alma mater for two years, and was the men's head coach for the Mississippi Brilla FC in the USL Premier Development League for four seasons. He won the 2021 USL League Two national title with Des Moines.
He also worked as the head of League Two's Central Conference Scouting Network and served as a head coach in the Collierville (Tenn.) Soccer Association.
His playing career included two seasons at Tyler Junior College and two seasons at Christian Brothers. He later played with the Memphis Express in the Professional Development League and with the Carluke Juniors in the semi-professional Scottish Junior League.
He owns an NSCAA premier, advanced national, and national diplomas, while having a UEFA B coaching license. He has coached over 100 players that have gone on to play professionally.
