Jonathan Davidson is entering his first season as an intern inthe sports information department at Francis Marion University.
Prior to joining the Patriots’ staff, Davidson served asthe communications intern with the Colonial Athletic Association,headquartered in Richmond, Va. At the CAA, Davidson served as theprimary media contact for select Olympic sports and assisted withall 22 of the conference’s sports including baseball,football, and men’s and women’s basketball.
Davidson, 23 is a native of Sanford, N.C., and is a 2012graduate of Campbell University where he earned a B.S. degree inexercise and sports science with a concentration in sportsmanagement.
While attending Campbell, Davidson served as a student assistantin the Athletics Media Services Office and worked with themen’s and women’s tennis programs as the primary mediacontact. During his time at Campbell, Davidson also assisted withseveral NCAA tournaments, including the second and third rounds ofthe 2012 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Greensboro,N.C.
Davidson also served as a 2012 summer intern with theFayetteville (N.C.) SwampDogs of the Coastal Plain League(collegiate baseball summer league).
