Connor Kelly

Connor Kelly begins his first season as pitching coach for the Francis Marion University baseball program.

A native of Phoenix, Ariz., he comes to FMU after serving as the pitching coach at Lander University for the past three seasons (2019-21). He helped develop two hurlers that were drafted professionally.

He played at Chandler Gilbert Community College in Arizona and then at Central Michigan University, where he was a member of the 2015 Mid-American Conference championship squad.  He earned his undergraduate degree (sports management) from Central Michigan in 2016 and then a master's degree in management from Lander in 2021.

As an undergraduate, he played summer ball in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) with the Ocean State Waves in Rhode Island and two years in the Northwoods League with the Kenosha Kingfish and then the Wausau Woodchucks, both in Wisconsin.

After graduating from CMU, Kelly played professionally in Kansas, Michigan, Kentucky, Illinois, and California.  Playing 2017 winter ball, he produced an MVP season with the Carina Red Sox in Australia.

During the summer of 2021, he served as a coach for the Green Bay Booyah in the Northwoods League.
