Biography

FMU: First-year runner.....Local product....Hada huge break through last spring in track, by setting personalbests in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters....Very outgoing....Will be agreat ambassador for the cross country program in allarenas. 

PERSONAL:  Born Ashley Nicole Wingatein Florence, SC....Product of Wilson High School,where she ran for coaches Raymond Krolewicz and WendyBarr....Earned four letters in track and two in cross countryrunning for the Tigers....Holds the school record for the mile run(5:35) and helped set the school record in the 4x800 meterrelay....Fall of senior year, placed 70th at the AAA state crosscountry championship meet with a time of 21:54.86 as Wilsonfinished 16th in the team standings....Spring senior year, helpedguide Wilson to the Region 7-AAA track and field title by finishingfirst in the 1,600-meters and third in the 800-meters....Was also amember of the 4x800 relay team that placed third at the AAA statemeet with a time of 10:02.91....In the spring of junior year,Finished third in the 800-meters at the region meet with a time of2:44....Was also a member of the winning 4x800 relay team thatcrossed the finish line in 10:51.88....Personal-best time for thetwo-mile is 13:15....Nickname is Wingate.
