PERSONAL: Born Rayni Diane Newman in Myrtle Beach, S.C....A graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School, where she played for coach James Graves.....First-team All-Region selection at third baseman as both a junior and a sophomore.....Helped lead the Chiefs to the 2015 AAA state playoffs....Has earned Iron Chief awards on three occasions....In addition to softball, also lettered in basketball and swimming, including an appearance in the swimming state championships....Nickname is Rayni.
