FMU: Returning letterwinner and part-time starter....Started 10 times behind the plate and twice as DH....Threw out three of 16 runners attempting to steal....One of two transfers from Florida State College at Jacksonville (Shelby Kelley)....Will look to be a wall behind the plate at catcher....Expected to see some playing time at third base as well.....Great person with a great personality....Really wants to play and is willing to learn....Has a new attitude after taking a year off (2013) and now knows the potential she has to push for a starting job and compete at this level....NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete 2016....PBC Presidential Honor Roll 2016....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2014 (fall), 2015 (fall), 2016 (spring)....After sitting out the 2013 season, Nevin transferred to FSCJ and made an immediate impact for the BlueWave.....FSCJ: Hit .248 with a .372 on-base percentage, scored 15 runs and knocked in 10 more in 2014....As a freshman at Pensacola State College, batted .236 with a .380 on-base percentage and drove in eight runs to earn a spot on the All-Panhandle Conference Team (honorable mention) in 2012.

PERSONAL: Born Mykah Renae Nevin in Jacksonville Beach, Fla....A graduate of Duncan U. Fletcher High School, where she played for coaches Christina Flores and Josh Corey....2-sport star....Three-time All-State performer in softball and lettered two years on the volleyball court.
