PERSONAL: Born Morgan Valorie Smith in Augusta, Ga.....A product of Midland Valley High School, where she played for coach Michelle Yeater.....Versatile player for Mustangs: catcher was her primary position, but she also played in all three outfield spots and pitched....Four-year letter-winner....Appeared in a total of 91 career games for the Midland Valley with a .356 career batting average, 91 runs scored, 28 doubles, six homers, 79 RBIs, a .471 on base percentage, and an OPS of 1.016.....Named All-State twice and All-Region four times.....As a senior, hit .324 with seven doubles, three home runs, and 18 RBIs.....Recorded an on-base percentage of .561 with an OPS of 1.102, while helping the Mustangs to a 23-8 record (10-0 in conference play), the AAA District 5 title, and an appearance in the Lower State playoff bracket.....Garnered SCCAWS All-State honors....Was selected to play for the AAA/AA South Team at the 2016 North/South All-Star Series.....Member of Midland Valley’s National Honor Society chapter....Served on the Beta Club....Nicknames are Moe or Moe-Moe.
