Biography

FMU:  Returning letterwinner....Conference Carolinas Winter/Spring Academic All-Conference Team 2023....Played in 48 games (36 starts - 29 at 2B, 2 at 1B, 5 in RF) as a freshman in 2022....Ranked T-12th in Conference Carolinas for double plays turned (6)....2 multi-hit games....Will bring some great energy to our program on the field, and in the dugout...A talented student in the classroom and that dedication to her studies flows over into her dedication to developing her softball skills as well....Are excited to see her in action wearing the red, white, and blue....Signed early in 2020....Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award 2023....NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete 2022.....FMU Swamp Fox Athletic-Academic Honor Roll 2021 (fall), 2022 (spring, fall), 2023 (spring)....Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll 2022, 2023 (spring).

  • Helped Byrnes to a 29-4 mark in 2019, the same year that Nodine garnered her school’s Rebel Award
  • Two-sport athlete, was named the basketball team’s most valuable player as a sophomore

  • Goals for Upcoming Season: My goals for this season are to make it back to where we ended this past year and continue to go even further, which includes winning our conference, the conference tournament, and the NCAA tournament!
  • Why you first chose your sport: I first chose my sport because it makes me happy and I have fun doing it, I also enjoyed my dad being able to coach me when I was younger
  • Biggest mental challenge in your sport: the biggest mental challenge is probably being able to separate a bad at bat from your performance in the field and up to bat after the mistake happens 
  • Interesting Notes: I’ve been a part of/won two state championships, I received female athlete of the year at my high school, I was 3lbs when I was born, and I have two middle names
